well hmm... I guess right now all I wanna do is have some fun experimenting with what I want to do for the first map. As of now I wanna make a cinmatical enterance to the campign... problem is I have no idea how to create a cinematic... Yeah I looked at the tutorials on the board and they make no sense to me what so ever...

You have to learn on your own, tutorials can only take you so far, and if you don't understand them, then, well....

You shouldn't start a campaign or bascially any project until you have accualty used triggers in test maps, until you get used to what tirggers do and how they function, theres no hope in making a campaign. I have about 80840975043 maps that i have started, just for the hell of it and never finished, but i learned so much from them, 2 are accualty meant to be played on battle.net, but i never had enough inspration, or time, or whatever, to finish them, the map i accualty did finish and is out on battle.net is Hostage Crisis, its a small map, but contains many triggers and other stuff, the point is, to start small. You can't just get up one day and say, "I want to make a campaign" They take experience, and planning, and skill. Try playing WoS, then you will know what you have to do to make a good campaign thats worth the time. Without experience and planning, and an excellent storyline, this is near impossible... atleast to me.

So what he's saying is expect a 1/404204840022 ratio of map completions. :)

Mine personally is more like 2/7, but after a certain point, it's almost moot.
Truly, though, you'll want to spend some time getting experience before developing a campaign that you mean to release. On the other hand, if this is an experimental campaign, then by all means, mess around with it.

But, first you'll want to mess around with stuff involving campaigns for a couple weeks, then check out the tutorials, and then, once you have a few specific questions, come to the forum.

Yes, I remember when I first started out, I wanted to make a Hero arena map, but I soon discovered that my ideas for brand new spells could not be done (at least not without trigger enhanced spells, but I had no idea about that back then), so I eneded up with the terrain and nothing else.

I then started making an AoS with original war3 spells, nothing fancy, and I managed to complete it; the experience I gained from the few trigger enhanced spells that I did make for this map was enough that I could finaly start on the Arena heroes, which are now 90% done.

Now what I am getting to is that, if I hadn't made that AoS before, and would continiue on trying to make that arena as my first map, I would probably have less made by today, and wouldn't made the AoS as well which turned out to be a quite fun map. So, by all means, start small, with test maps that have a 1 minute cinematic or something similary simple, and once you get the hang of it, DON'T make your campaign yet, but continiue practicing on more maps. After a few months or maybe half a year, depending on how much time you spend each day, you will probably be ready to make your campaign without too much danger of giving up in the middle of work.

Go here for the cinecmatic tut. Its one of the best there is. In my opinion anyways.
Then, before you start a campaign, make few maps and play with the triggers and all just to see what each does and how they work.

Yeah, that tutorial looks pretty high quality. If you want to learn to do triggers or pretty much anything, the best thing to do is just understand the very basics of triggers (events, conditions, actions), and start looking through your options. See what actions the world editor has in it. There's a whole section of actions in the WE that is dedicated to cinematics and cameras- clearly labeled. Some stuff isn't easy to understand, but if you look over it, you'll have questions that are really easy to answer for us people on the forums. Anyway, good luck! Ask more questions if you get 'em.
