Bear form crashes game!?!?!?!

I am basing a spell off of bear form, the point of it is to change the attack and damage, by chaning into the exact replica of the hero, just with faster or stronger attack, but when I cast the spell, it crashes the game and spawns an error. :(

Is this only the case with bear form, or does crow form work? Please help! :\

I have crashed WC III so many times playing with the morph abilites. Easiest way is to look at existing spells. Make sure you have changed the original unit and alternative unit in the ability's settings. It is possible you just personally need to learn how to edit spells. I normally make a blank testing map and change settings until it works.

Now when you say exact replica, do you mean you copied and pasted the hero?

That's what you have to do with morphs, use the EXACT same unit and alter the pasted form. If you don't use the exact same unit wc3 will crash when you use the spell; or sometimes it's crashed for me when you change back. This is the only thing that I know of that causes wc3 to crash due to a morph.

Heh, i am no noob making abilitys, i have just never been able to solve this problem, i have had it many times, anyway, I did copy the unit and pasted it, then changed the damage and delay, and nothing else. I changed the base of the spell, and the alternate from of them spell to the original and the copyed one. I use the spell in game, it waits about 1 second, then crashes.

If you make a sample map and post it and i'll check it out.

What do you mean by delay. The time it takes to morph is the "Duration - Normal" time.

Otherwise maybe theres some trigger going on thats linked some way that you forgot about to the spell.

I dont know what you already know, so Im just suggesting all possibilities.

I mean the duration it takes to change form, its not linked to any triggers, just 2 copyed heros, one the orgiginal form, one the alt, changed tooltips and icons, and from a normal spell to a hero spell. I use it in game it crashes.
