My 2nd skin, a based off a felguard

I had a post in the main skinning forums area, but no one has replied in the three days since I posted it, So I figured I would put it up here. This felguard was orginally suposed to be part mechanical, part bio-organic, but I wasn't able to make the skin look convincing. The armor and the skin were too similar in color, for one thing.

So, I redid him in blue, shooting for the gargoyle's bluish-undead appearance, and I think he looks more appealing now, but he certainly dosent look undead. Oh well. I'm satisfied with how he came out, but is there a way for me to make his skin look more "undead"? I'm still fairly new to skinning, so suggestions/criticism would be great. Thanks :D

needs more than just little recoloring
the thing about the undead is that you need to learn blood effects
and fyi, there is a blue felguard, its called an overlord

Use spong tool on desaturate. It make it look undead.

lol indeed... now I feel foolish for not knowing there was a blue felguard. Yes he is a bit more than a re-color: I changed his weapon design, added some armor plating, and change the two prongs that jut out of his upper back. Not much, I know, but im still a skinning newbie :\. Thanks for telling me about the blue felguard though. I'll experiment with the techniques Aznwhore and Wc3Player mentioned. The replies are appreciated :>

Don't feel like an idiot. That's my job. :D

You could take a stab at trying to put blood stains on some of the armor and/or maybe making a wound or scar across the chest area.

Ok, after much effort, I have racked my brain to come up with another idea for this skin. I went back to my original idea and worked through it, lightening it up a bit and adding some extra details. Here he is, revamped, the monstrosity version 2.
