Disembodied Skull

Hi, I'm after a disembodied skull type unit to act as a familiar for my necromancer in an upcoming map. I experimented with both the Death Coil missile and the Extra - Burning Skull animation you can find in UMSWE but, since neither are actual models, they make an extremely annoying birth sound every few seconds and have a tendency to crash Warcraft if they ever die.

Which is no good.

So, I got to thinking and discovered that potentially the best disembodied skull unit could be made from the Skeletal Mage unit, with everything except the skull alphad out; the flames flickering around his head would only make it funkier. Furthermore, since this is only a skin it's presumably a lot easier to do than create a model from scratch. Unfortunately I fail at skinning (I don't own any graphics packages), so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hmm, it only sort of works. That model also has the tendency to crash warcraft whenever it dies... I'm guessing die to the fact that it has no death animation?

Regardless, I'm fiddling with triggers to Unit - Remove it just before it dies so as to prevent the game from failing catastrophically, but it's definately less than flawless. The Skeletal Mage with everything except the skull and flames alphad out would solve all my problems if anyone wants to have a crack at it =D

Spiff sauce, that's perfect. I had a fiddle with Photoshop myself but I couldn't figure out how to get rid of teamcolour.
