Help removing "hero glow"

Normal units look really stupid if they all have hero glow.

I don't have any modelling software and am not at all expirenced in this sort of thing. Could somebody help me remove some hero glow and help me put the model into a map.

I would like to remove the glow from the Tinker/Hammer Bot If thats at all possible. Please?

I have realised that it isn't that hard to remove glow though I need the right program(s) can somone advise me as to which ones to download?
