Ok ok, i got down to doing some abilitys on RoC via .mpq. All goin fine but i took Unholy frenzy and made it into a hero spell, got it all working except for the buff. I see my buff that i added to it when i cast it, but its thier for half a second then it goes back to the Original Unholy frenzy buff art. And i cant even get my Buff information to work like "This unit has negative attack speed" kinda thing I have my own Buff thing made and it has the same alias as my spell Another odd thing i have, i finally got my war3patch.mpq to work, and the ability.slk im using now dosent have a uberalias section... only CODE and alias, im thinkn the uber alias has sumthing to do with the Buff.. Hope some ppl still remeber how to do this stuff, Thx! (I found out what was my problem, thx anyway :) ) |

:\ 5 words for you: Go. Buy. TFT. Right. Now. the editor is 10x better in TFT. I'm guessing Blizzard did this to make people wanna buy it, with all the superiority TFT has editorwise it seems people would only want to cling to RoC for melee reasons or lack of $$. Trust me, buy TFT and you can sidestep all of this mpq BS + play the über campaign and get MG's :> w00t w00t!! |

What he said, FT just lets you create your own buffs and change the art for them. |

Guys, enough about TFT. He's heard about it already. So, what was the problem? Sounds like you needed to extract the <race>abilityfunc.txt and <race>abilitystrings.txt files for the undead and alter the ability data, regarding the tooltip. I'm not sure why altering the abilitydata.slk wouldn't give you the appropriate duration, or would switch effects haphazardly like that. |
