10 Level Engineering Upgrade?

Has anyone tried to use Engineering Upgrade as a 10 level skill? I'm having some problems with it. The first couple of levels work fine, but then it seems to replace itself with some other ability which seems to be missing an icon and has no text, so I can't identify it.

Is there any way to list off the abilities that a hero has?

I'm trying to work out what ability is getting created when I upgrade the engineering upgrade a 2nd time. Cause I can't work out what is going wrong. I've checked that the ability upgrades are all setup right, and nothing should be replacing the engineering ability.

.. frustrating. :<

I'd like to note that, if you do succeed in having 10 levels of Engineering, you're multiplying all the skills that that hero uses by 10, which will substantially and woefully increase your map loading time.

As far as what the heck is going on, I'm afraid I don't know; sorry.

I always figured that most of the loading time was from models and textures. I'd have thought that skills would be insubstantial compared to those. But if you are right, maybe I'm better off just using an upgrade, and a trigger based spell on level of that upgrade.

or have less levels. E.G.for a 20 level hero, you have three 5-level Skills, a 2-level Ultimate, and a 3-level Engineering in place of Attribute Bonus.

Well the trigger was probbably the easiest thing anyway, since it was just a spell with two dimensions to upgrade it, number of units spawned, and type of unit spawned being the two axis. Dead easy to do with a trigger.. and as Panto says, probably actually quicker to load.
