Ok, as the title says, this is still a work in progress and a pretty 'minor' skin so far. REPEAT, this is not a Diablo 2 Amazon, rather it's a design I saw in a piece of artwork. Basically, it's an (human) Amazon archer, using of course an Archer model. Changes to flesh and armor, some tweaks to face etc. I may try switching this onto one of the Hero Ranger models later, tho I'd rather not have the hood. Attached should be three pics, one of the skin via WC3 Viewer, one in-game via the TFT WE (apologies on the portrait shot in that pic, screen shot was taken at a bad time), and lastly the artwork/character reference I was trying to make this skin of. Only team color on this currently is the typical Archer hairband, but I may scrap that. Any comments/feedback/suggestions of what to do at this point? (other than possibly toss it :( ) Psy D |

Wow, very nicely done :D The chest armor is cool, and the boots look neat even though they have no specific details. If I recall, the archer has some shoddy wrapping in parts, and you've made good use of the skin to hide those probs. ^_^ |

Very nice, will she have blonde hair? |

Not bad, I'm glad to see that nothing got stretched out a lot or anything GJ :D I can see bits of improvement that could be added, but to your discretion: 1.The girl in the picture is blonde, thus should you make her hair brown? 2.The cloak/cape (whatever) is kind of blurry. You could look into this. |

Thanx for the replies so far, let's see: Yeah, the wrapping on the Archer isn't so good, especially how the skin for the legs is used on the quiver AND the inner cape, but it's workable. I'll work on an updated version, probably with the following changes: -Will cover up the chest a little, making the white top barely visible under her chest armor (on the concept art) larger and more viewable. -Will try to brighten the hair up to something more blonde like the pic, tho not PURE yellow. -Might play with the cape, maybe I'll remove the silver 'crescents' to make it less blurry. I'll be back later/tomorrow with the fixes, but keep the feedback coming, please. ;) Psy D |

As for the blurriness on the cape, did you save the skin at 100% quality? Saving it at that quality over the normal 75 (or 80, whatever Image Extractor normally saves at) really helps to get rid of the blurryness & distortion around smaller skin details like that. |

Okay, here's an update of sorts. (attached) Changes: Made her blonde, removed silver symbols on cape (not sure what to put on it really), covered up chest some more with her gray top under the armor, and a tweak here or there. I think I may try two more edits next, one to lower where her breasts start (as Blizzard has them, eh, starting near the neck :\ ) and I might try to make the feet look a little better (making faint toes visible or something, if I can). And Iron_Ian, nah, I saved at around 85% quality, mainly cause this may go in a map (already with a few custom skins) and I don't want to bog it down too much. Right now, w/out the silver symbols, it's a bit less blurry at least. I'll be back later with another version, probably trying the two aforementioned edits, but keep the feedback coming if you can, please. ^^ Thanks for the remarks so far, btw. Psy D |

*grins* Wow, I'm glad people are liking this one. ^^ Okay, one more version tonight, attached below. The only real changes on this version, compared to v8 above, are: -Lowered 'start' of breasts, just to make them less...'big'. Couple of people on another board I showed this on suggested this, as the split was kinda near her neck. -Tried to make the feet better, but it's not too big a change. Just an attempt at some faint 'toes' and a little fleshtone change, but not too much. Egg: Well, I've been here awhile...I'm just one of those quiet skinners that pops up rarely with a new project. ^^ Aznwhore: Thanks. Yep, gotta be careful with the eyes on the archer model, due to wrap...it's very easy to make her cross-eyed if things aren't just right. ;) Any more remarks, feel free to reply more. ^^ Again, thanx for the feedback so far, it does help me a lot. :) Psy D |
