Guest | Hey all, I'm getting interested in editing MPQ files. My problem is that I can't extract the MPQ files so I can edit them. Does anybody know how to do this? I tried using MPQView, but it just says '0 files extracted' whenever I use it. Any ideas anybody? Also, I read that you need to have WC3 Retail Version (V.1.0), is this true? If so, can I install both the retail version and the updated version? Thanks in advance. :D |

Guest | The best program that I have found for editing MPQ files is WinMPQ which you can download here: http://www.wc3campaigns.com/modules....=getit&lid=340 . It is not true that you need to have the retail version installed for this to work. You can use any version of Warcraft including the beta. And although it isn't necessary to have two versions of Warcraft installed it it very possible to do so without any conflicts. |

To extract them all you have to do is go to MPQView and save them as a file. |
