Warcraft Battle Poker

Well, I am still working on Minotaur TD 2, but I had what I thought would be a really cool map come to mind after playing poker td again. I don't have a lot of details yet, but I thought I would put this up for now and see what kind of feedback and ideas people might have about it.

This would not play like poker exactly, but the name fits the overall idea quite well.

General Info:
-1-4 Players
-Various modes to choose from, like 5 card stud, indian poker, 7 card draw etc.
Maybe 3-5 modes or so total.
-"Card" deck consists of 5 sets of cards: Human, Undead, Orc, Night Elf, and Creep, along with a few wild "card" and unique "cards"
-"Cards" are actually different units that coincide with the "suit" they belond to, each suit ranging from Ace to King.
-A total of 75 "cards" (65 from suits (13 x 5 sets) + 5 wild +5 unique)

Gameplay:

Concerning your "hand":
-Depending on play type you are delt cards either all at once, one at a time, or whatever suits the game type.
-Depending on play type the other players can either see none of your "cards" or some of your "cards", Some game types would require that not even the owner sees all his cards (people might think of the game where you get your hand, but one card is stuck to your forehead as an example)
-Some games may have "pooled cards" where a number or cards are delt and they serve as a part of every persons hand.

Concerning Betting:
-Betting will work just like in normal poker, possibly with a nice dialog or skill button system
-The times and mode of betting may differ accourding to play type selected, not sure if that will be nessesary or not though
-Players can fold if they feel they have no real chance of winning, and thus save some money, but be at a huge disadvantage during battle, and thus have almost 0 chance of winning the "pot"
-An "anti" will always be deducted from a players money at the begining of each round, if they do not have enough either have some kind of "loan" system, where money will be paid back automatically, or players lose.

Concerning Battle:
-Each player has a "hero" they can select at the begining, along with the cards they are delt (*this is undecided, it might be best not to have heros and just use "cards" for a more poker like game)
- After all bets are made and someone has "called" a battle of all the players (even those that "fold", although their units get a major penalty so as not to be able to win the "hand", but can still participate) begins in a middle battle arena area.
-Units that are part of a pair, or full house, or other typical, and non-typical (5 of a kind, or "invented" combinations) get certain buffs or abilities during the hand. (and example would be a pair getting a +2 to armor).
-Units (and possible a hero representing the player) will battle unit there is only 1 unit left alive in the arena. The owner of this unit wins the hand and gets the pot.
-Winning the pot is not the only way to increase your money, killing "cards" in battle will give a bounty, whis serves as a way to increase the total amount of money available to players (more on this later).
-Maybe some kind of randomly generated "ace in the hole" has a chance of being added to a random players hand each round.

Winning:
-At the begining of the game an amount is set, when any of the players reach this amount of gold, they win, thus the reason for bounties, in order to keep increasing the available cash in order to reach this goal.
-An alternate win condition could be set, such that when a player wins a certain amount of "hands" instead of getting a certain amount of cash, they win.

Overall, I think this would make for a very fun and replayable map, combining both the luck of the deal with the skill of players, as well as adding a new twist to arena or footman war type of maps. I say footman too because there may be a way to add in some kind small unit spawning in order to make the battle a bit more grandiose.

Anyway, these are just some really rough ideas, and i haven't really started any work on it, I would just love to get some feedback from people, and possible see if anyone wanted to be involved. I am a very compitent map maker, but I have a feeling this would end up being a rather large project and involve a good deal of jass to do a lot of the cooler features.
