I am going to start accepting requests for custom tile sets. If you want to see my work, look in my gallery, there are a few examples a few posts down on the first page. I will not do every request. I will use my judgement to weed out the "cheesy" and "lame" sets that will either be useless to the community or just really bad ideas. You can PM me, or post here, I'll check the thread every so often. I just ask a few things when you request a tileset (or cliffset) 1. If possible include at least one reference picture, even if it is only a little like what you want. 2. Be as detailed as possible. I will use a request I just got as an example. The request was for a "road" tileset. So these were some of the questions I asked: You want the edges clean, or degraded? Do you want a "double" set, maybe with some kind of skidish marks, or pot holes, or anything on the "extra" tiles? or do you just want a normal small set? And finally, how dark do you want it? You want kind of dusty or just like a dark tar black? If you can include these kinds of details it will save time, and help me get a better idea of what you are looking for. 3. If you need more than one set, please let me know in advance. Mostly this is just to help make tiles that will be used together look similar. (An example is: I did a tileset for the Metroid Mod. Since I knew what it was going to be used for, and that there were going to be more sets to go with later, I worried more about getting a tile that would work with the concept, rather than try to really make it go with other wc3 tiles.) And I think that is about it. A link to the gallery is in my sig.... Now bring on the requests ^_^ |

I need the jungle world titleset from SC. I'm not sure if you have sc but if you don't I'll post reference pictures. You can cnp all you want, as long as it doesn't look boxy or wierd in the corners and such. |

Well, I do have SC, but I would prefer people to post pics, I really don't have much free time, (got a little extra at the moment luckily) so even a pic from SC, even though I could get out the disk, and mess with it, is prefered. |

Campaign Editor doesn't require the disc, and its quick. |

Didn't realize it didn't take a disc, yeah I can look off that then.... but erm, as in jungle "world" set, you mean all the tiles? |

All but the raised jungle or the temple. Also, if you could get the cliffs that would be great (just the dirt, not the temple). |

Smurf, when you get some stuff done mind posting a screenie? |
| 05-26-2004, 11:41 PM | #9 |
Yes, I will post screens for people to approve, and others to check out, but I got a bunch of requests, so no one expect anything right away... I am also working on my MC2 entry so that is taking up a nice chunch of time. |

I need the road of the attached shot. Yes its from a game, but I forgot which, and its unreleased. I need, if possible, 3 or more variations. It should blend well with a grass or dirt tile if that is possible. I would like some rectangular-shaped stone bricks. The bricks should be gray, and look like something that a large medieval town would have as a walkway. Dirt on the bricks would be a plus, but keep it like the screenshot has it. The bricks should be a little bigger though. Edit: Please ignore the cement drainage gutter in the middle of the street, I don't want that included. |

Okay, just so people aren't expecting things to happen really fast, I am going to post a list of what I have gotten as requests so far, if I leave one out let me, this is the same list I have written down, so if your request isn't on this list, I somehow missed it. (These aren't really in order) From Starcraft: Interior cliffs Most of the "Jungle" sets Generic: A plain asphault road. A plain dirt road (more "rutty" looking) A few more stone tile/checker/etc type tiles Plain tanish stone path/walkway A new full ruins set - multiple tiles Some "space" floor tiles. |

Hey lil Smurf, I requested a cliff tile set of you some time ago in a PM. Do you still want to make it for me? |

I don't remember what you requested.... unless it was the wooden walls thing. Believe it or not (if that was it) I have been messing around with it on occasion but I can't get it to look good at all. I will probably still hop back to it on occasion, but I am not making it a priority for now. |
