"level" avatar

i was wondering...you know how when you have those standard avatars like level 1 and level 2 etc....how do i get more advanced level avatars?

Like [death] said "post count" there are only such large distances between them so many people use a custom one..
I'm still searching for a good one in a mountain of 2000 pics... (I'm starting to wonder why I ever saved so many pictures :P)

Well, people with custom avatars are easier to recognize IMO. It's easier if you want to go quickly through some posts.

the uploader doesn't work for most ppl in custom avatars. upload in profile picture and use the url address to link to it. i did that at first, but now i got free picture hosting at jrue.com ^_^. for some reason linking for the custom avatar doesn't work for hosted pics at wc3c threads.

Yes, it is because you are a mod. But I think uploading the avatar as profile picture works well

too bad it doesnt support .png's

png's are smaller than bmp's but have better quality (leaves pictures untouched) than jpegs, so its the best choice possible, and you can upload it!

custom avatars are the way to go... a few people still have the unit avatars, but i think CAL (custom avatar lovers) was a one of the many reasons we have custom avatars now

this is the upload site i use. just register with them. you don't have to share your pics with the public if you don't want either.

Just use profile picture and you are done
