Finally it's done! I actually made the map on time, but Danmage1 and I were never on at the same time to get it hosted until now! It's done, over, finished! I'm so happy! asparena.net/war3maps/InsaniteusCinematics.w3m Go there and get it. If there is still anyone that doesn't know what this is, then listen up: This map is a nearly half hour long collection of several mini-movies! All have high quality graphics, sounds, and humor to entertain everyone in the world (EVEN AL GORE!!!). Inside I spoof a couple of TV shows including a HUGE Dragonball Z Fight, and I also created downright sick incarnations of the WarCraft World! The only downside is that the file is 8.3 Mbs, so it may take 15 minutes to an hour to download it, depending on your connection. The MP3s are just too important to the feel of the Map, since War3 music gets old after a few months! Not to mention, some are absolutely essential to the movie itself! I swear on my ENTIRE reputation as a map maker and modder that this map rules. Download and enjoy! :ggani: ---I want everyone to be able to rate this map and tell me everything they like or don't like about it. Just post anything at all here, treat it like a RoK thread or something. (Oh please, don't complain about the file size, I slimmed it down from 14 Mbs, so it could've been much worse!) PS: If you're just now downloading the movie, do NOT read any more replys! MONDO SPOILERS AHOY! -The Great and Immortal Lord Imperialist Insaniteus- -----------------"It's alive, IT'S ALIVE! OH GOD, Now I know how God must've felt!" Frankenstine, the OLD version. EDIT: Below, some posts talk of link errors, but we fixed them all. Everything works now, and the above link is right. |

asparena.net/war3maps/insaniteuscinematics.w3m the ftp crap was causing the problem. -Insaniteus- --------------------I'm gonna clean this thread out to remove the evidence that we f#cked up the first three times lol :sweatdrop |

One Bug: To people who open the map in world editor and click test map: This does not work! The cache size is too big because the map is too big (8.4 mb) So you must move the map into a map directory in the War 3 directory (very easy) Just a problem I had and thought you might want to know. Easy fix. Cya. |

I haven't used Test Map in 2 months lol. Ever since I heard of the LONG list of bugs with it I never even bothered to waste my time. And to other people who try this on B.net: Beware. I never tested it on B.net, because there's no reason too! This map works great for me, with only one damn bug in the very beginning of the map (Footman stumbling into one another like drunks). Then again, they have to be drunk to pick a fight with Grom Hellscream :ggani: ! Also, I wanted people to rate this movie, 1-10. And for the SOBs who score below a 10 I want to know WHY and what needs improved. And yet again, if a Moderater could make this into a poll I would be very happy (You know, somebody needs to make a "puppy dog eyes" Smilie, because this was the perfect time to use one :( ) -The Great and Immortal Lord Imperialist Insaniteus- ------------------------If I get enough happy fan posts I'll work on another project, this one being an RPG Mod. |

Guest | HELLA AUSOME!!!!!!!!!!! Damn man, this was great! My favorite part was the Dell commerical. Id give this a 99 out of 100, only 99 because there were no voices. That would have been 2x as hard w/ voicing probably. BUT IT WAS HELLA AUSOME ANYWAY. Damn im goin for round 2.... |

I really do appreciate your praise. I'm a showboat at heart, and nothing makes me happier than hearing people tell me how great I am. Oh, and to triknight: I originally planned to imput voices, but the Mother F#cker is 8.4 Mbs without them and I'd have only succeded in doubling the map size :( -Insaniteus- ---------------------Now you see what all the weeks of rambling have been about! |

I'm extremely impressed with the quality of the special effects you've incorporated into this map, and even more so with the fact that they're all tied together into one neat and awesome package. From a mapping point of view, a lot of it can be relatively easy to duplicate, but just the sheer quality of how you put it together made it that much better, especially stuff choosing just the right effect/filter to use for what situation. And the scripting/screenplay... it made sense! I wish more maps did that... have an actual script! =D Mad props to you, and hope to see more great stuff from you in the future! |

I give it a 9.. nothing is perfect :) One thing: there could have been better looking terrain... i think thats the only thing :)... hmmm maybe there was too many flashing filters too... The special effects is great, just great! |
