...where I can find some nice tool to manipulate tarrain easier and with more possibilities than in WE. I have we unlimited, and umswe but as far as I can see they dont provide many new things regarding terrain.
Im making a city scape style map, and I dont like using the regular lowering and highering techniques on streets and side walks since they need to be flat, and just angled...
Any ideas?

What do you meen? With UMSWE you can make the terrain angled and flat, but you need to use the plateau brush as well. There arn't (That I know of) any other terrain editors other than the ones you mentioned.

Yeah, you`re right... but its complicated as hell, especially if you`re manipulating terrain thats near a terrian that you want to leave intacts.
And it quite complicated to determen the angle of your terrian.

hmmmmm...I don't know then. Try asking in the warcraft editing tools section, but I'm sure they'll say the same things i have said. Heres a link to the section:

Change the tool shape in WE from round to square i belive the shortcut keys are ctrl + [ and ]

but its under one of the dropdown menus as well.

Besides makign sure the terrain cursor is on, and that, there is nothing that makes WE better at terraining, its fine the way it is, you just have to learn how to use it

If somethings more versatile, and better at manipuateing terrain. it is inevatable more complicated. the only solution is to get better with WE

Well it wouldnt bother me if it was complicated to learn, but it would if it was too use...
You see, Im pretty good with WE, but there are things you simply cant do in WE without spending a lot of time, with a very big chance of screwing up badly (there are examples where undo doesnt work, couse it messes up the doodads with rolling and pitch angle set)
If for example you use the square brush, n higher the terrain, only the middle part of the terrrain in the brush field is effected, witch makes it extreamly hard to adjust the terrain in a flat angled position. And if you use plateau, you cant determine the angle of your terrain. It always has the same angle, witch is for my needs too steep.

I wasnt trying to critasise your skill with WE, my apologies if it looked like that. however i do have a solution to part of that. get the miscdata.txt, and in thst you can alter the slope angle. only downside is you have to restart WE everytime you change the angle for it to take effect

I found a way to do the thing a needed to do in WE the easy way, and I cant believe how simple it really was.
I combined using the plateau and the smooth tool, and the effect is great. I can get any angle I want, and the terrian is nice and flat. ^_^
Anyway thx for your help gitlich, I think Ill also use the thing you mentioned
in a few places, cause it creates a slightly different effect. :D

I might upload a few pictures of my map in a different tread, for you guys to see the huge differnce this made.

Thx everybody
