Help help! There's something wrong with the firing trigger! And it's only in one map (the one attached). Could someone help me find out why? Here's what happened. I copied a trigger from my FPSMinigames for a pistol (which works perfectly) into this map. The firing trigger is not entirely disfunctional. It just doesn't like firing very often. I think it's probably a trigger in the map, but I don't know how. Anyway, I did some further resting, and here's the observations. - You can fire successfully about 100% of the time when strafing left and right or backwards. - While moving forward or not moving at all, I get something 1 out of 10 or so clicks will successfully fire. - The trigger is run. The damage and the special effects are just not created. - It's not a problem of the trigger having a certain chance to run. The trigger only runs at certain times (I'm talking about when you're not moving). I tried running it 20 times, and running it every 0.01 seconds. The result is the same. The trigger only runs at certain times. In the case of the 20 times at once, it runs all 20 times in one instance, and then I get no results for the next few attempts. - I attempted to change the variables that moving left or right change. No success. - I attempted to run the straffing trigger while firing. No success. - I tried straffing slightly and firing. No success. - So it seems that you have to have been straffing for quite some time before the trigger works. If that's not enough, you can open the map, although it'll probably make the job harder (the thing to run the firing trigger is under the movements trigger, and the firing trigger itself is in JASS under the trigger "fire", which I only half understand). Thanks for whoever replied. If you have any suggestions on why this doesn't work, just reply. I'll test and tell you about it. You might actually be curious as to what this is. I'll be posting the first part under FPS Projects once this level is done. It's 5 levels and one training level (just for the first part). Since saving doesn't seem to work, I stopped working on FPS Minigames and instead worked on single player stuff divided into small stages so that you don't need to save. It's about controlling a blademaster, and combat is melee, but right now this thread is for solving the problem posed. I'll release it in a few days or so once this problem is solved so don't inquire about the map please, help me with this problem. (if not I'll find my way around it). I'm aware that the FPS Mod forum is turning into a GHOST TOWN, so whoever checks this and has any idea how to solve the problem please reply!! Be a kind soul! Your advice is much appreciated. Thanks. |
