Finaly

I have been somewhat inactive on the terrain front for a while, as my copy of WE has been far from happy. however, all problems are now fixed (well most, also thanks to everyone who helped :D ) so ive done a little eye candy peice. this will eventualy become some concept terrain for the WOZ trolls, but as always i started out makeing a jungle and ended up makeing a forest.

Well apparently the server dosnt like me uploading more than 1 pic at a time, there are 5 more. one with a forest to cover up that ugly bear patch at the top. ill post them sometime later

oohh neat concept. Try making another rock just like those and giving them 50 degree angle and pitches and placing it with those rocks so they don't look like their floating. But keep them for variation.

Nice but it looks like you have some floating trees though(not much but I'm not sure it may be so that my eyes are decieveing me). And try to lower the maximum roll or whatever it's called. Wonderful waterfall.

ive founda few of those, but im haveing a real hard time correcting them, normaly when i rise or lower an object then move it, it stays at the same leval, alowing me to put them into the side of cliffs, but even after i turned off the reset height thingy, it still dosnt work.

You could always cover it with another smaller doodad, small rocks maybe?

ive been thinking about that, so far theres just trees and rocks, if i do anymore tonight ill be using viny plannts (slightly darkened) bushes and shrubs to cover all the crappy bits up. after that comes my vast overuse of tblenolegs, and makeing platforms for the troll huts

Which model do you use for the trolls homes?

i use a variaty, the forst troll huts, the furbol huts, the spirit lodge, and the voodoo lounge, as well as the beastiary, with only the smoke stack showing, like somekind of troll factory

The green kind of scares me. Maybe white fog to act like its high in the moutain or mist from the waterfall. Oh and some animals. Yay for animals! ^_^ Deer, eagles, and other little critters. A non-ugly bear :D and some wolves. I like how you made the light look like its coming from the sun. The sun's a wisp right? Maybe move it up a little bit higher since some of the light looks like it's above the sun. Looks good. Not sure what's wrong with uploading pics though.

What did you use for the sun?

thats the sun on the generic sky, it just happened to be at the right angle for the pic

A nice trick for creating a sun or a moon, is to create a doodad with a wisp model. Then scale it, put it in the right place, and then set its animation speed to zero by a trigger.
Hmm, or it has to be a unit, and you have to set its flying high.

erm, there are a few things it could be. theres a tree in the very top right corner, theres a transparent rock, as i was placeing doodads at the time. this is a pic i took after about 5-10 mintutes work, and the rest have most things fixed. like all those floating trees, are now lowered and have rocks underneath. to remove the floating rock effect (on the sides of the waterfalls) i took toxicseaweed3's advice, and mad rcoks with a 90 degree roll and pitch, and default scale 0.55. ive added some viney plants but need to add more, and im going to add shrubs and bushes when i get the time. the animals one is a nice idea. ill add a few at the end. but not many as most space will be taken up by the troll village. i think ill probably end up changeing the sky as well. keep the C&C comeing :D
