wow. that's nice for a first skin. you even did a skin of the carrion beetles. it must have been double work. strange how you didn't mention it. you should accredit yourself with all your work.

Loooks great Erw :D One of the best first skins i've seen.

hehehe... i didnt do anything, to my big suprise the carrion beetles, the lucusts and the spiked carpace use the crypt lords skin... skin the crypt lord, and the beetles, lucusts and spikes automatically change with it ^^''

i dont really know what is meant by resolution, but i doubles the flat thingies size so i could work with a little more detail.. and saved and converted and stuff with highest quality and detail.

i'm actually thinking about changing the carpace to be a little see-through, that would be verry cool... i'll make the picirs and the hooves see through as well, if i do that. that oughtta give him an even more icy feel...

but can someone please explain to me how to get it into wc3 vieuwer? i have no idea... -=(

i want to make pro shots like the insomnia dudes... that looks so quality-ish...
btw, i especially love how the portrait came out... it looks so cool ingame.
(get it? cool? BWHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAH)

the skin is exellent, it looks a bit stupid on the model, but in the .blp format it works great. To get a skin into WCIII viewer find the path the skin uses (get the model in viewer and click current file, show used texture names) then make a folder for each area, EX: Footman is units/human/footman/footman.blp, so i would make a folder called "Units" then inside that a folder called "Human" and inside that a folder called "Footman" and place the .blp in that folder.

First have to say, your the living proof that us concept art forumers can cross the border, and its a damn good try. A small crit on the colours I guess, you could improve the diversity of the colors, like shades of purple/pink on the limbs i dont know.
Like the person above me said, it doesnt work on the model in certain areas, specially the face, but yeah well done.
Ok Im off to learn how to attach skins to the models today!

Phoenix exaclty my thought of how it looked, Its a bad model to use LOL as its a bug and can only be skinned to look like a bug as humans/orcs/night-elfs can be transformed into anything

not bad anywayz keep at it I can see you have alot of skill and you will get better in time

I just figured it out now erwt. You must change the mpq file. File- open mpq - war3x.mpq

Gogogo Erwt!!!

I agree with Egg... looks a bit furry. As well as the shoulders don't quite look rounded when looked at straight on. Maybe you could do the whole greyscale first thingy...

Hmmm... maybe I should get into this skinning thing too...

Anyone have an idea on how to make photoshop run faster? Or a image extractor for mac?

Gj man, i think that does deserve some rep.

The furriness dosnt really work though..but the quality of the work done its great.

as for getting it into war3view, first of all you click "open mpq" button (folder with "MPQ") then open up war3x.mpq. THIS mpq has all the expansion stuff in. Then find out where the crypt lord is random guess is somethign like Units\undead\Cryptlord\crytlord.blp, i dunno.

and then literally create those folder inside your warcraft 3 folder. so say its in the place i guessed, you create a folder called unit iin your war3 folder, and then on called undead inside that, and then one called crypt lord.

then once youve got that in its right place, open up the crypt lord model in war3view and your skin should be on it! PwnT!

id give it a 7.5/10

i like the skin but once its wrapped it doesnt look so good u need some close screen shots (use right click and ctrl/alt (not sure which) + right click)
