Yea I'm back now, my skinning comp died so i had to move to a new one :( Heres my latest WIP, so far I've desleeved the man, and I plan to make his clothing more primative, and suggestions or comments would be appreciated. Note that I'm using GIMP so if you have a suggestion on how to do something plz make it in GIMP terminology. Sorry but for now the best i can do is a wc3 viewer image :\

Btw just like to apolgize again for that screwup with the first time I posted this, I really need sleep lol.

good work replacing the sleeves with the shoulder skin. however, at first glance you can't really see much difference from the original.

Cool. The shirt needs some work though, try doing dome wrinkles and such in it.

Difficulty there, those tuts use textures as the finishing touch and GIMP either doesn't have them or I haven't found them yet :\ I'm working on some more effects to the leather though, I'll get back to you on that.

Ok still WIP, I tried doing the thing Gar did on the cloth without the texture, and i just didn't like that, I'm going to be adding a lot of things like sitches and stuff to the shirt instead, heres the first thing i did, combination of smudge, dodge/burn, and air brush makes the bottom of the shirt look a bit tattered, what do you guys think?

A little better. Keep at it. And the textures arent everything they just make it look better. I didn't use textures until recently(gar arrived). Anywayz there are links in that thread like when gar said 1 of his post he put the site he got the texture from( www.3dcafe.com ). The way u apply these textures is diff depending wat program and how u learned. I don't know gimp so i can't help u. Hmmmm Maybe i should learn that and PsP so i could give better advice.

Ok guys i made a custom texture on my own, made it kinda transparent, and pasted over the leather, redo a bit of shading that got overlaid, and this is what i got. (Sounds easy but it took a little under an hour :\ )

What do you think now?

Hmm, the texture you used looks rather plain but to be honest, its kinda hard to tell with the small snapshot you uploaded. You should post a larger file. 500x500

Hard to zoom in wc3 viewer, I'll try to get a better picture.

Well the only comp that has wc3 has the worst graphics card in the world, so for right now you're better with the small picture, unless someone else can take the blp and get a good picture of it :\
