Try searching for topics before you ask because most likely your question has already been asked before(which it has, a lot). Anyways to set the maximum hero level go to Gameplay Constants under the Advanced menu bar in the World Editor. |

Go to the drop menu called "Advacned". Click on Game Contants. Scroll though the list until you get to a field called "Hero Max lvl" or something to that effect. Change the 10 to 100. There you have it. Your heroes can now level up to level 100. P.S. Don't forget to give Reputation points to those that help. |

You could do the max lvl thing, or just make his spells have 20 lvls each or something and it will do it automaticly |

[sarcsm]Then i guess the maker of the COT and POM maps is a noob? I guess that the maker of Hero Builder Arena is a noob as well? And that would go double for the countless makers of countless arenas that have heroes go beyond level 100? Am i right? [/sarcasm] |

yes. And by saying there are "countless" maps with that, you mean the countless remakes and extra versions of the noobish maps? hah. Stupidity is for the masses, and is therefore mass-produced. |

yeah the majority of the makers of hero arenas ARE noobs ============================================== Quote:
============================================== btw youll probably want to edit the amount of exp it takes to lvl as well since eventually itd be like impossible to reach 100 anyways. |

the guy who said level 100 was a bad idea is right, in my opinion. That is, unless, you're making an arena map, because those seems to have huge levels. I'm making an rpg (or at least trying anyway ;) ) and level 25 is high enough. It says the last post was today, so i hope i'm not thread bumping. Even if i am, don't flame me for it :( . |

Level 100 heroes are usually a sign of noobishness for me. Why? Because they are not always well thought out. Just taking a war3 hero and setting his max level to 100 is no good; because the heroes and their abilities were designed to work with level 10 heroes. Balancing higher level heroes requires feeling, because you can no longer rely on making the spells and the hero stats similar in power to the original war3 spells. Good mappers that are aware of that then do not make level 100 heroes, or make them rarely. Bad mappers just put them everywhere because it's cool to have such badass heroes, and they don't think about all the stuff this brings along. |

Well spoken, Anitar. As far as the use of the term noob in this thread, please consider not attempting to slander folks that you do not personally know, nor making broad generalizations. |
