Troll Encampment

Hey all, this is my first shot ever at terraining. I used murloc lovers troll village as a refrence for this and mainly did it to get some practice. If i try this again I'm going to attempt to use my own imagination and not rely on others :> . I was going for a well used encampment and nothing to big. I'm looking for criticism and any good pointers you all have. Thanks.

M'kay, thats freakin cool, 8/10, you got some floaters in the waterfall though, and the waterfall looks abit wierd, everything else if perfect though!

ah.. it gets me feelin like im right in the middle of a jungle...nice pic :D , but as vagabond said, someting about that waterfall is wierd.

Heres a new SS of the waterfall. I'm hoping that it just looked weird because of the angle but it probably looks weird anyways :( . Hopefully I can get some better pointers on how to fix it with the SS. I'm also thinking of expanding on the encampment and adding a voodoo sacrificial pit and a combat/training pit. I was thinking of something like the one rexxar fights the ogre in but trolls strike me that they would want obstacles and the such thrown in. Any ideas?

Of course, you gotta do some agility training courses for the trolls, pretty much like something that you train the dogs at ^_^ I think it would suit just well for versatile fighters.

Looks great. But a little thick I'd say, how that affect to gameplay?

Currenlty also building a camp, an orc camp that is, I decided to go for a camp look with tents and few fast built tents.

nice waterfalls, you were original in a way, your one had including more natural landscapes while mine was just the troll village.

very nice. i like jungle settlements. nice use of rcoks trees and plant life to get the jungle feel. howver the terrain is a little flat (everywhere appart fomr the waterfall), raise lower and noise. just experiment, ands see what looks good

Well, it still doeas look abit wierd, you should try not to just make a very tall hill with a waterfall, try to to more on the hill, because there aren't any waterfalls that just comes from large, tall hills, what I mean is that you should continue the hill, just not a big mountain-thingy.

Yea it kind of looks a bit unnatural. Waterfalls usually erode the surrounding rock area making it semi-flat. That mountain is a bit too tall and the way it slants is also kind of strange since all the waterfalls are going straight up and down. Oh and the obstacle course sounds like a great idea. Maybe like a guantlet set up where they have to run through it without getting beat up into a pulp and like spears and arrows shooting from side to side. Fire traps spouting out of nowhere, huge boulders rolling across the area, spikes, pits, ohhhh. Like Indiana Jones. ^_^

Ok, heres the new waterfall. I extended the "hill" so now it looks more like higher terrain that a river is flowing from. I'm currently trying to work on the "training/agility course" whenever I get time. Hopefully have some new SS in a few days. Keep the crit coming!

That is a bit better. Adding rocks and trees to the side of the cliff will help spruce up the plain cliff. Where does all that water for the waterfall come from? The screenshots kind of looks like the waterfall just shoots up out of nowhere and slides down the cliff. It looks really nice though. Hope the agilty course goes well.

New SS. Voodoo Pit..for different rituals like sacrifices or eating stuff o_O .
Hopefully I'll get that training course up...

great idea the pit, yo can make it an actual pit with some zombie walking around in it or is that out of character? o those ddodads with the blue faces, can i find those somwhere?
