Simple question, can bows be attached to archers using the special effects thing, just like you would with swords and what not. If not, is there any other way you could attach a custom bow to a model? |

Yes it is possible. Your only issue would be to find a bow. :) |

Like Linkmaster says, it is possible. However, your problem goes farther then just finding a bow. Almost no units have animation that will look right when using a bow. The way to make it look best would be model editing and changing the animations the look right. |

This is actually very difficult, you would need every unit to have a morph animation like the demon hunter that uses bow animations instead of swing and that stuff. You will have to find and bribe a good modeller for this ------- Interesting Abomination vs Doomguard thread, I reccomend all of you to visit that. |

Whoa!! Thanks Lord Vexorian! I apperantly linked the the text to your Hero Arena by accident... Well, it works now and more people know about the your Hero Arena, so, we all win. Once again, thanks. ------ Why do you need to create a morph animation? Just geoset merge it with an archer and attach a bow model and it should work, right? ----- By the way, Lord Vexorian, when are you running your spell contest? |

Nah, I just want an archer to use a variety of bows, she won't be using melee weapons. Would I be able to do that with a custom bow and a bowless archer? |

To the best of my knowledge, yes you can. Their are several ways to connect them once you get the models. The best way is to base the item off of thr Orc Battle standard. Use the bow model as the special effect. I would suggest you try the weapon or hand (right or left) attachment points. Pick the one you think looks best! |
