about a 20 minute job, *i wasnt putting full attention on it*, so heres the basic idea of my sunken city terrain... i might put some invis. platforms under the support columns to make em actual path.. anyway here it is *one pic* |

Nice! Infact very nice! But the gaps between the columns are kinda wierd, and you should try to variate the houses abit, and add some rocks/stones etc in the water, also try to use Water doodads in the water, seaweed etc. Hope that helped you! Vagabond- |

What do u meen? explain it better. Quote:
Yes you can. just make a doodad out of the model you want, and press ctrl and page up to raise it. But if you want them to be walkable in game, i dont think you can do this (Unless u are a wizz with triggers that is) |

you answered my first question with that thing about walkable i just figured tht if they would be walkable u wouldn't be able to make a slope thats narrow enough. but if there not walkable it is indeed a stupid question sorry. i did see this guy that was making a starship trooper mod and he had walkable walls. maybe he can help. i don't remember where that was though. |

Good, good, though I like how you used your support collums :> Though I'd rather suggest you use the legless table. |

Where can that model be found? It would be usefull if u posted a link. ^_^ I need it for a map i'm making. |

Link, eh? It's right there in your World Editor, Doodad pallete >> Trees/Destructibles >> Support Column, but I recommend you make a custom doodad (OBSERVE: Not custom Destructible), with the Support Column model file, and use the pathing map: Mushrooms, flowers etc. Vagabond- |

hmmm ok. thanks for the tips ill go try em. but what kinds of houses are there? i know the goblin merchant, but that leaves me with 3 buildings to go with.... cuz i want it to be kind of island style... maybe something like kilika in ffx/x-2.... o well ill go work on it some more, expect to see an update later today *edit* some1 said they wanted more levels... so heres the start... its a staircase... hey and the legless table model... wheres that? i might need it for my upper-levels which will be built on columns, not support columns |

| 06-02-2004, 08:15 PM | #14 |
That was me, i think i might try that. o yeah i'll have a go at skinning some buildings into this island style maybe even a canoe, even if you don't like i can still use em myself. |

ooo more buildings =D i am an amateur skinner, cant do much detail, im buidling up tho. but unless its total garbage, ill gladly use any building skins in here, as the murloc huts can get kinda boring |
