could anybody tell me if its possible to skin a model into having 2 different arms. for example: a night Elf with a big falconers glove on one hand and nothing on the other. please keep in mind i can only do skin not modelling. o yeah and also HOW it's done if possible, don't just go yes it's possible goodnight. |

well, there is a couple ways. It all depends on how the claw is attached. Is this going to be something that is skinned on? Or will it be something that is modelled by someone else and then attached? |

ok I'll be honest i want to make a hellboy skin now this guy has on one arm a huge stone fist and the other one is just bare, see pict below. and sadly i can only do skinning.o and check out the toy version |

well, if you skin it, I think it will barely be noticable. Seeing as how both the hands are red, it would be hard to see that one is a giant hand, and one is a regular hand. A way that I think it could be done is to find a unit that has a hand that kinda looks like that. Then, have someone import the model, cut off everything but the hand, and reposition it. apply the same skin from the unit (after coloring the hands red) and then export the hand to use as an attachment. Import the model and the skin (following correct importing rules of custom models) and then use either the bloodmage sphere way of attaching, or using a trigger. Thats How I would do it, and I think that would yield the best results, and you can do anything with the hand since its a new model now. |
