i think hes done...

i went for an overall dark, but kinda neat look, lots of folded cloth... lots.
some pink lights, but it needs more, i'll probubly add some to the hammer and to the other metal armor parts, but maybe even some more.
i think i'll change the book as well, not entirely satisfied...

i made the teeth a bit smaller... to make him look a lil more civilized. but i promise a skin in wich i will make bigass teeth lol... just for kicks.

so, without further delay, i present:

Lord Val'Kah (Vampyr Paladin)!

nice folds, you should do a tut on those :D
But the skin is very monotone. It is most likely an almost black/grey spot ingame.

well;... actually, he looks quite good ingame... i wanted him to be monotome and dark... lots of black... that was the whole idea...

hmmmaybe with the pink light in the metal, and the book made of metal it'll allready look better... i want to do the book metal now, that would kinda break it... this book doesnt look so good. black metal with a pink glowy rune in it... ooh sexy! thats what imma do tomorrow...

oh and there allready is a verry good tut on cloth foldings, by garnogal i believe... in the skinning technique factory.

Aardvark-
The cloth looks great, but it is very monotone. The whole body looks like its greyscale (im not accusing you or anything). I'm sure it would look better with more color. Try making the cape a dull or bright red and see how it's like (just try it even though the idea was monotone). Or try making more pink gems and runes. The portrait looks awesome.

hmmm... well, ok, i'll see what i can do with some overlay layers... so how some color looks on him... i guess i could do that yeah, but first i'm going to add those pink glowy runes at the shoulder pads, i'll try to add them on the hammer but the wrapping on that is icky, at the end of his cape(s) i'll put some pink rune thingie as well... and i'll make the book made of metal, with, again, a glowy rune thingy in it...

adter i've done all of that we'll see if it needs some color... maybe i'll make the cape a verry sponged dark red, barely noticable, but a little bit... just like the face is actually supah-sponged green...

Pink? Are you insane? Are you a crazy dutch bastard? ^_^

It would look a lot better if those crrrazy pink bits were red.

That's a lot of foldiness!

Red is SOOOOOOO over done. Hey the trick to making the pink look glowy is to dodge the middle of it more so its white in the middle and most of the color is near the edges.
select a little bit inside the edge. add a soft glow (lower the opacity) close to the color you have but maybe a brighter shade. U could use the built in glows in photoshop, or even do it with a brush. I prefer to use Eyecandy the glows are pretty smooth and u have more options. I used another glow filter that was MUCH smoother I loved it. Don't remember the name and I can't find the installer.

I think You are EXTREMLEY GOOD. keep it up. I see uve stopped by the Technique thread.

hey, really excellent ! :D
just a bit monotone, why not add some red (or purple, it seems you like that ^_^ ) on the clothes instead of black and grey all over the skin :P

thnx all ^^''

and khadar, believe me, the pink is fine, it looks so cool. thnx egg for suggesting it.

damn i wanna see what jester said... why do those flames get deleted all the time >''< jester, if you want you could pm it to me if you still want to get you message across?

i'm just gonna fiddle with the book a bit (need some metal and some glow) and maybe fiddle a bit more with the glows, and see if i can pull of a 3rd eye, still need to fix that horrible middle tooth, but then i'm calling it done... time to move on to the next one.... in wich i'll goexperiment with a lil fur and stuff...

hmm, just had an idea, what if i just make some metal patches on his lower arms? with some pink runes in those... that would balance it out some more... and with some glow in the feet, if i can pull that off, and the other things i've mentioned, this babe is done.
