New pirate skins for SHiPs AhoY!

Here is a set of a few new skins for the greatly awated SHiPs AhoY! map/campaign. I wont show them all, just a small number to give a general idea. For more info on what is done already click here. If you can help with model edits pm me.

The map should be hosted soon here at WC3C. Models by Whitehorn and Blizzard. The last of the skins are still WIP as are most of them, they need work and slight changes here and there, I got bored of the model after a while but many skins are needed, think of about 50 pirates, 50 other faction ( navy ) plus npc, creature etc. Lots of work done and ahead. Enjoy.

Gar'nogal	well... what could I say ? the portraits are simply great same for the clothes (some of them look like Orlando Bloom in the CaraÃ¯bs Pirates ^_^ ) very nice work :D (and gj WhiteHorn for the models ;))

Dude ur the only one who skins like that. No one else does. Theres one other person who can kinda mimic it. But ur style is origonal and nothing like wc3. Ive always been a fan of ur work. But u wouldn't care anywayz.

The top 2 are awesome the 3rd one rocks but i dont thing the shading is as good around the torso as the ones above. 4th one awesome. The froehead and eyebrows are weird on the 5th one looks like he has down sydrom. ^th is kool the left part needs a bit more shading u loose depth. The other head with the blond hair is SOOO much better. Last two are cool. I know there WIP just making comments.

Hey Egg, what do you mean by nothing like war3? I really try and make them cartoony and bright and colorful, the first one is as close as I could get to the colouration on Sammy's concept art. What could I do or add to make the skins more warcraftian? For the guy with the dark eyes, well they cant all be good looking heroes, whats going to add depth into the project is exactly the ugly looking people. Missing teeth and stuff. Im looking for inspiration for more skins, if anyones got any colorful concepts lying around please post them.
Im also looking for inpiration on existing warcraft 3 units, I know the blademaster is possible ( orion made it ) but what else is possible?
GFraizer colour is great no? ^_^

well ur skins. Especially the skin it self looks more cartoony than warcraft, more flat. But plz dont change it its ur style. ts mainly in the shading. The second one is the most warcrafty and would be completly if it wasen't for his skin tone and the flatter shading. But dont change it. Actually ya, ur skin tones vary which is more realistic. Wc tends to have this same slightly yellow skin tone on every human.

Its weird its almost too real and too cartoony at the same time. But again plz dont change ur style. Its great, and still does fit. BTW u figgure if u do all the skins they will all have the same look lol.

icbm1987	YARRR MATEY!!! Very nice skins Jester... very nice. That style is realistic to the point of being scary... And yeah... ugly people add alot more flavor... because like it or not... the witches face is easier to remember than Sleeping Beauty's. icbm1987

erwtenpeller	MORTAR TEAM PIRATES!!! YARRR!!!! awesome jester... awesome... they look so nice... but egg is right though, they dont look like warcraft style, BUT THATS NOT A BAD THING ^ ^'' they just look good... as for more pirate skjins, you could always do the dwarves.. ^ ^ mortar team would be great, i dunno about the MK... and you might be able to pull off a gunmen. but they're simply awesome...

Egg	U can use pesant, villager male, bladesmaster, druid of the claw (theres alot to alpha but has an awesome beard), lol the ghoul (would make a pretty ugly cabin boy) sea giant (minor alpha) or 1 headed ogre. You need a fat guy.

Thanks guys. That list is great egg but the ghoul doesnt work too well, the sea giant has a big hole in its head with no shark and the ogre still has the horn even with the alpha. Ill try getting the horn off. I gave the skin a 2 minute try and it could look really cool. Also finished the peasant model and its a great base for a pirate, Ill do some more of them. Also tried the druid giving him a new beard but the alpha channels all wierd. The wrapping to give it a moustache is horrible and he has no neck so it will have to have a long beard.
