Missing Alpha Channels

I made a custom skin for a the Siege Golem unit (GolemStatue). I remove the horns by using the alpha but after loading the model in WorldEdit, the horns are still there.

So I opened the mdl of the model and found only one entry for Materials. I don't think the model reads alpha channels.

Is there a way for me to make do so? I haven't any info on making a model read the alpha channel.

i gues the only way is to edit it in 3ds max.

I already know that 3dsmax might be needed to do what I'm trying to accomplish, but what I really need to know if it can be done by editing the mdl.

It can be done by editing the MDL. I'm not at my main computer and thus don't have Warcraft at the moment, but if you can post the MDL then I can tell you what needs changing.

This is the mdl file. Its the Siege Golem unit (GolemStatue) and is not modified in any way except for the blp path pointing to my custom skin.

hey ill remove the horns thru the model, then upload it, if it doesnt work giv me the blp il do the alpha channel for u

k heres the mdl and mdx, the blp path is GolumStatue.blp so when u import the blp use that custom path, just 'GolumStatue.blp'.

Sad to say, it doesn't work.

They were removed. If you want to know how, look for the MDL tool pack thread in the MDL editing forum and download VertexModify.zip.
