Hello, a few questions on custom campaigns, First I wanted to mod the original WC3:RoC and make it a campaign so that I can edit a few things and still play it through the FT. I can extract the maps and add them in the Campaign editor, but they are blued out and don't save any modifications made to them. Also the Campaign editor says that they are not usable maps or invalid. :( Is there some kind of security feature that I need to disable before working on the maps? Second, the custom campaign that came with FT is the demo of the first WC3, but for some reason there are no voice overs in the custom campaign. I have the demo, is there any way to extract the voice overs from the demo and place them properly in the custom campaign? Thanks in advance. |

I'm afraid I don't know what's wrong with the old RoC maps, but as for your second question, the custom campaign isn't actually the same as the demo from RoC; it's an extension of it. I gather that it was originally planned to be a larger demo, but they only did a part of it in the end. They don't have voice-overs because the voice actors never did them. Or, they did them, but Blizzard decided not to include them in the campaign, because they'd inflate the file-size so much. |
