Does anyone know where I can dl a compressor?

Does anyone know where I can dl a compressor? I need to knock atleast 500 kb off my map.

I did and I could not find one.

If it's big because of skins, I can tell you how to knock off a lot.

Export all skins.
Convert to .tga
Open in Photoshop.
Make then half as big as they are now (ie. If 512x512, make it 256x256)
Save.
Convert back to .blp
Import.

500kb? that's huge, you should remove the imported music

Imported Music? There is none. It is big becasue of skins. I need to knock atleast 500kb off of it.

Edit: I will try the editing thing, but isn't there a compressor somewhere? :\

There is no way to just compress a map as far as I know. Just do what I told you to do, if it's all skins it should knock off quite a bit.

Blackdick's Heavy locker can optomise your map and take some off, not 500Kb but it might help. not sure where you can find it though.

well has any1 played the new ROTK map with models and music that takes at least 2mbs up? well when i dled it (even though i have cable) it was very fast like took 10 seconds to dl a 4mb file, so im sure he somehow compressed it.

500kb is nothing, thats like 2 seconds of dl time..... I have models that take up more space then that...

Not for most ppl on b net that have 56k or run aol while they play.

Agreed with Kam, 500 KB is quite an amount. It may not look *too* much, but it actually is. Anyway, this is a pretty old thread already Kam.
