Waits cause lag?

I have heard that waits cause lag (as opposed to using timers)? Is this true?

If so how come? I could imagine that keeping the trigger in memory for a few seconds could use a bit more ram, but that's it. So why?

I don't know who did you heard that from, but waits dont cause lags.
Actualy ,(i think) they do the opositive thing. Cuz aften it lags when:
you have too many units or the trigger is doing too many thing at one time, but the waits wont let the triggers do too many thing at one time.

waits have a minimal wait time like .25 seconds. you want to use timers if you want to wait a duration under that.

I don't know, maby they have bad comps or.... well no idea.
But I havn't seen any lags from waits. (in that I mean that my every frend that has wc3 didnt have any lags becouse of waits)

Edit: and btw I have about 100 waits in my map and i don't have any lags :\
