using umswe vs regular we

This was bothering me a bit, I cannot convert back and forth between ums and we since I realize a lot of umswe functions are custom made.

So my question, how can i convert the map to use in regular we?

another question, do I lose all the new features for ex. that version 1.15 offers if I use umswe that wasn't updated for 1.15 version?
and if so, what new features are there that i am losing?

thanks

You can:

A) Convert the entire map to custom text.

B) Try to load it up and see which functions it cannot find. Look for these triggers in your map and replace them with the normal WE equivilant, or just remove them.

Or delete UMSWE from your computer and learn to use GUI the normal way. :P

Link, the problem with that is that you wouldnt be learning GUI...you'd be learning the custom script action. :P There are no remove location, display timed text to player, etc actions in regular WE. That means custom script is needed...

Sektor,

StarCraftFreak normally does a good job at patching UMSWE up for each patch that comes around. The newest UMSWE version works fully with 1.15, and thus, has all the features in it (not that much).

Link, i'd still like to see you work with global "Region" arrays (if you even know what that is, (that is, not "rect" arrays)), I'd still like to see you create as impressive terrain as we create. (like: this, this, this, this or this (all pretty old stuff though)).

You can't create that with normal GUI. :P

So what's up with the prejudice. It's not like these programs "can" be any worse than normal WE, becouse they ARE: WE + <stuff>. Not just: <stuff>. So as long as they are useful for something at all, there is no reason to bash people for using them. Cuz that's just being immature.
