Gyrocopter land on water?

If it is at all possible, can somebody explain to me how I can make the gyrocopter model land, preferably on water. Please keep in mind I have absolutely no experience with triggers whatsoever. and if I don't understand something pls be patient with me. thx

Ok, this might sound a little confusing. There's probably an easier way to do it, but thats me, always looking for the hardest way :-D

Make a new unit modelled of a ship. Make the ship not able to move and give it a useless ability called lift of. Give the gyrocopter a useless ability called land.

Make it so when the land ability is used, the gyrocopter turns into the ship. When the lift off ability is used, the ship turns into the gyrocopter.

you dont even need triggers, make 2 units, a ship based unit with the Gyro model and a normal Gyro, make a new ability based off the NE spell "Storm Crow Form" change around the tooltip and make the units it changes into the Ship Based Gyro and the normal one, give the 2 gyros the ability bam, there you go.

Ok I tried that last one but the gyro just went underwater for a second then came back up and crashed yelling "they came from behind". What am I doing wrong? :(

lol.. that would look funny... but i guess theres something wrong with the spell.

well, your using a really buggy spell, in my map i have it with no alternate value.. and the hero gains 96 attack and loses 96 health (still gotta fix it) so i guess make sure that both units are heroes or units... and maybe they both have to have mana?

euh...? Wellthey're both units to start of and the mana thing is reduced to zero. Ireally have no idea what I'm doing wwrong the gyro should transform into a ship and it does for a second but then it all goes horribly wrong. could you maybe try it and see for yourself cause I haven't got a clue with triggers and stuff. thx

here it is, you can land the gyros on land but they cant move, which i think is realistic, if you dont want them to land on land base the spell off submerge

Your map works like a charm, but I've exported all object data to my map and everytrhing works great except for that ground attack thing, I've deleted the tech tree rec and everything but when I try to attavk a ground unit it says : must target an air unit, I've probably missed something obvious. pls advice
