Problem with geoset

Hello, i've problem with the geoset of my Orc warlord (see models gallery forum, it is my first model editing).
First picture is the warlord's body (shaman without head). It's alright...
This is it's the mdl code:

"Geoset {
Vertices 62 {
{..."

Blizzard shaman's code has no "vertices 62" but only "vertices 465"... so i can't paste verticies on it (see picture 2).

Maybe it's because the body come from my model with thrall's head and bandit's shield, i've hidden thrall's head and bandit's shield before extracting the selected body in mdx...

Someone can help please? Do i have to open blizzard shaman and remove he's head again?

What tools, tutorials, and/or processes did you use to do that? If you have exported from 3ds max and are planning to have that animated, you can't delete vertices and still be able to paste it in. If you really want to delete vertices, then try the VertexModify.zip tool in this thread.

Thanks.
I just wanted to put thrall's head and bandit's shield on a shaman. I've used your tutorial about geoset merging, with 3ds max 5, Wc3 viewer, Import/Export script, FileConverter (and notepad).

I've deleted the head of the shaman, added thrall's one, added the shield on 3ds max without mdl editing and it doesn't work of course :/.

I try to edit model but I don't understand all your tutorial...

Can you teach me about geoset or is your "geosetmerger" addapted to newbies? It's my first model editing so i'm new on modeling... I just know how to import models in Map Editor...

Try this tutorial. It's hopefully easier to follow, as it doesn't require knowledge or 3ds max or MDL editing. If you still can't get it, I can do that merge.

Ok, i'll use your tutorial.
If i can't do it i'll send the model's parts on this thread.

Your vertex modifier make a runtime error "13" -> Type mismatch...

Are you using commas instead of periods as decimals? If so, you need to temporarily switch to periods (because Blizzard uses them, not commas). It's under regional settings in the control panel.

This is what your geoset merger done with bone=head (my head's model is placed on the neck of the shaman in 3dsmaxand i've tried it placed on the origin too -> make the same...)

Can i send you my 3ds model and then you'll be able to merge it for me?

No, because if you've deleted vertices in 3ds then I can't get it either.

Try the steps listed here to switch from commas to periods.
