Hi, was just killing time here at the job and came up with a picture of Grom Hellscream (greatest WC character, btw).. Dunno if this is right forum to show this, but feedback would be welcome for this is the first time I made picture completely with computer (from scratch to final). Teeth does not seem to fit too well, but gotta work more for that on the future pics. Anyway, creative feedback... Ah, hell, any kind of feedback welcome. |

Well... I'll give you constructive crits... because that is what is best. 1. The boundary between the chin and the chest looks kinda odd... the chin should through some kind of shadow there. 2. Where is his right side? From that angle on his torso we should be able to see his right chest and some of his right shoulder or arm. 3. The fingers are kinda odd... I can't do fingers myself... so I don't know how to fix it. 4. The nose should be bigger... like in the unit portrait. 5. The shadow from his cheeks shouldn't be so big... it makes his face look kinda swollen. Make them smaller. 6. The shadow over the eyes should be bigger. 7. The forehead looks kinda small... and you need to blend the hair into it... as well as shade it. 8. His upper lip should be brought forward a bit... that will help with the swelled cheeks problem too. I hope I helped! icbm1987 |

Plus he doesn't really seem to have a neck right now, his head kind of feels like it's floating over his shoulders. Pretty good, though - I like the face. |

the hand looks fine... the thumb is just a liiiitle bit off... all those crits a real, but theres one thing that you guys missed, and thats the biggest issue imo... orc's dont really have eyesbrows (you got that good) allthough some old wizards or other elders may grow them with age. instead the usually have thse verry thick, but eyebrow shape flesh hums above their eyes, wich, yet again, you did get well... now, the issue that i havge with them, is that it doesnt stick out enough, it looks like a flat forehead thing... the brow thingie should stick out just as far as the cheeck, and his eyes are really kind of imbedded between the cheeckbones and those 'brows' orc eyes just lie a liiiitle bit deeper in the skull then human eyes do... i have to comment you on the coloring though, it looks quite suiting... are you a skinner? just looks a lot like a dodge/burn fest ^^ |

to add on to what everyone else said.. blend better. i could be wrong, but it looks like you mostly used dodge, burn, then smudge. while that is used in skinning a lot.. when using photoshop to paint, it isnt all that good. for example.. the fingers looks like its made out of green metal.. or maybe the really darks of his face seperate parts.(the area under the nose looks seperated from the rest of the face). also, his sholder(i think....) looks like he was burned, or charred in a fire. try to change colors when you paint, |

Thanks for feedback. That surely helped me to get better on some future "projects". As I said, my first real picture with computer so I quess I'll get a hang of it sooner or later. Thanks! (Gotta get that photoshop home laos from the office) |
