Revival of the High Elves

Hello there,

I am looking for a team to start my new elven campaign. Actually it is kinda old (at least the idea) but the entire story and such is quite shaped. At least in my head. Unfortunately I am not a good skinner/terrainer/spell editorer or something and so I need a team to start my campaign. It would take place after Archimonde's summoning, somewhere between the Night Elven Campaign and the ressurection of the Lich King (end of Frozen Throne...). It will start with Kael's departure from Quel'thalas. His right hands (sounds strange), Alleria Lighthope and Danath Sunblade refuse to leave Quel'thalas leaving their lands behind. They still wish to serve their god, Arius. Well, they will face new undead forces and many more.

My idea is to create a new race with new design, coat of arms, units, buildings and so on... Something like Night Elves/Humans/Orcs/Undead and not something like Naga. It wouldn't be completely playable but it would have a new interface. I have learned how to control the interface but I am afraid I cannot do it without your help. So I am looking for people to help me with the following problems:

1. Skinners or Painters (the second ones would handle the interface lookie and custom icons)
2. Terrainers - one of the most important, really need people here!
3. Modelers (if possible) - People who could work with 3ds Max and maybe make new animations and so shape new units with brand new animations.

Any help is appreciated. I mostly have the idea and if you think you can help me please post here or... send me email at [email protected]. I'll try to release a prologue as soon as possible so you can see the main idea.

It doesn't sound too bad, but still, what are you planning of doing yourself? Since you ask all the jobs that is possible to ask.
Sorry, though I like most kind of elves, I know rather little about it so I cannot offer any assistance since I'm busy as well.

You should post something like a story since that is probably the most important thing of the campaign. Just to let you know ;)

i can do icons and skins

Hmmmmm...... I guess i can help out... I can help with story, terranin and a little bit of moddeling and anim transfers.

Hehe, I guess you are right Fladian. I've kinda asked for all the jobs possible because: my terrains suck, I could use some help at spell editing, two skinners are always better than one, my cinematics are mediocre, my english sucks and I have no idea how to control models. For the moment I am working on the story (but my english is quite bad so I don't think it would work like this) and of course on making some new skins. They are quite bad because they are mostly recoloring. I'll post some on my site and update my post with a story. Or maybe a link? How does it sound? The story will come what happens before you actually play? Not what will happen into the whole campaign. I don't want people to find out from the beginning. Only my team will? ;) But thanks for your help.

Raisinghumide, could you tell me your email address so I can know where to send you the icons I would need? I could give you the base idea and you'll have quite some time to finish them. Don't be afraid if they are many. I hope these will be ALL the icons I need ;). And I thank you for your help again? I really needed someone to handle this. And skins sounds cool as well but? I cannot give you to do everything. It's far too exhausting I am sure about it. I have tried TO DO everything and I succeeded in being able to do nothing.

Aaa? What can I say? You can do quite much but as I said before? I don't want to exhaust people by giving them to do everything. Or at least much. Do you have 3ds max or something to handle the models? I've never met someone to be able to control the models. At least before? I've heard that people here can do this. Many people can do good terrain (but not me?) but obviously to make a whole campaign you need more than one terrainer ;). So I still need terrainers? But since you can handle models send me your email adress and if I need your terraining skills I'll just email you. Modellers are not needed at this moment because I don't have any skin but I'll surely need some ;). Anyway, just curious how you make models. And btw, I like high elves and NOT blood elves. But they are all elves, aren't they? So I am thinking to make an unhighbourne race which actually does not belong to Kael. A band of elves who still remained in Quel'thalas. And Arius, their god sounds damn cool.

Haha, its alright, i like all types of elves as long as their not Drow or house elves. (Doby in Harry Potter) Blood Elves are just my most prefered.

Daelin, is this actually your first project? If so, then perhaps you want to try some random maps first to increase your skill and knowledge. (Hey, it can't hurt ;)) I'm not saying you should forget about this or anything but just try to do something to increase your skill, so it could only get better (the campaign that is). If this is your first project you might be asking a bit too much. There used to be a small txt. document here somewhere on the forum (don't ask me where :() where it showed some information if it was your first project. Also not to go overboard with people's first project. I got little experience in that kind of thing as well. My first project was going a little overboard, but hey! Then again, I'm still working on it ;)

You could also join someone else's project first to pick up some experience if possible.

You said that you tried doing everything on your own and it didn't gone well? It IS possible doing nearly everything by yourself. And I got all the proof to backup my words. I am working on a campaign too, my own to be exact, and I've placed every job on my own. In the end I am in need of 2 kind of people :P (someone who checks my grammar AND my triggers and (not completely neccesary) a skinner of moddeler)

Your last post did showed a good grammar so I don't think you need to worry too much about that :D

I don't know what to say, but since you are new around, I think Fladian is right, you should increase your skills in editing....

Anyways, I am busy with my own project, so I can't help much. However, I am a good story writer and had more than 20 good stories to choose for my project. So whenever I am free, I will try to do story and observing for you, thats the least I can do, for now. :(

Well, it is the first project I actually lead and then first one I hope I'll finish or something. I'm working a lot at it... But thanks for your tips. And thanks Andyx but since you are busy... I have a lot of people with story and stuff. GUess I have to restrict the posts needed. Thanks again guys!

well instead of making coutless high elf/blood elf campaigns why not make a campaign that takes place in outland and maiev meets allerias high elves and maiev gets allerias high elfs to folow her to recapture illidan

During the Second Great War, Alleria's family was slaughtered by the Orcish Horde when they invaded and destroyed the Elven kingdom of Quel'Thalas. Since then she has been consumed by a hatred for the vile Orcs and after the war ended she continued to hunt the survivors of the Bleeding Hollow clan with an elite band of Elven Rangers. This brought her south to the country of Azeroth.
When Alleria heard that the rift had been reopened, and the Portal reestablished, she sought out Turalyon and Danath at New Stormwind Keep and offered her assistance against the Orcs. She helped the alliance army rout the Orcs by the Portal and journeyed with the alliance into the world of Draenor. There she aided Turalyon and Khadgar by scouting the surrounding areas and of course, joining them in combat.
She too remained in Draenor while Khadgar closed the rift into Azeroth forever, protecting it from the ensuing blast created by the destruction of the red world. Alleria is presumed dead, and if nothing else, if she managed to escape to another world, it is almost certain that she will never be able to return to Azeroth.

Well Daelin... I wanted to help someone around, and found you recently, so even if I am busy I will make some good stories for you, as well as observation if you like.....Just say it when you need me, don't mind whether or not I am busy.

Umm... I am thinking on a better stuff at the middle of the story or such. I am thinking to make two parts. The first one would be the cleansing upon Quel'thalas. Fortunately the land would be something like... unrepairable. So the high elves with some entity's help succeed to reach a paralel world (just like Draenor!) where they find new enemies and must fight them.
