Dummy casters and the score screen

Well, as is apparent from the title, creating dummy units for the purpose of them doing additional effects when you cast a spell, has a little side effect that nobody but me cares about. It is the fact that units, created with triggers, add to the player's unit count. Of course, this can be avoided by creating the dummy casters for a neutral player, but it can go only up to a point; when you use damage spells, it's kind of essential that it is not the neutral player that is given the credit for any consequential kills. So, is there any way to get the score screen not to display that you created 100 units during the game, because that seems wierd if your hero has no actual summon spells?

I have not tested this but have you set the dummy units classification to something different like Ancient, building, or something? If that doesnt work then try making a Dummy building that casts the spell, just give it no collision size and no image and shadow.

My caster system recicles the units and gives them to neutral passive till they are needed again...

That doesn't help much... I did some testing and changing ownership of units is the same as creating them as far as the score screen is concerned. I made a test map where I continiusly changed the ownership of a few units from one player to neutral hostile and back to that player, and got a large "units created" score. So, no matter what I do, the moment I use a dummy caster and it has to belong to one player, it will add to his unitcount on the score screen... I don't think classifications count here, because even wards are counted in the final unit count, and changing them to buildings only makes the absurdity of the score screen worse (because I am making a hero arena and there are no buildings there).

Ah, well, as it seems there is no way around this, I'll just have live with a slightly bigger unitcount. If I use the majority of the casters as neutral hostile, then this may not be soo obvious (besides, in a hero arena, who is going to look at the units score at the end :) ).

Thanks for your help.

Try setting their level to 0, don't know if it changes much...

actually if they have Aloc, there shouldn't be any problem, otherwise the Cryptlord's ultimate would cause a lot of extra units to appear.

And after all who cares?

I guess it is not aloc that makes the cryptlord's locust not count in the score, but something else about that spell. My dummy casters all have locust ability and they obviously count.

An, it's true, as I said, probably nobody else cares but me :) . Guess I should stop caring as well. :)
