Psyonic storm

Hello

I want to make a spell that is called psyonic storm - starcraft players will know what i'm talking about. it's kind of blizzard, with a larger AOE, and lightning strike at random moments. now i already got the effect, but i can't get the lightning to show up. Think monsoon, but then without rain, and lightning not striking units, but just the ground on all sorts of moment.

well, anybody has an idea how i can make the lightning appear? i used blizzard for base spell, but changing the blizzard shards for lightning bolts (the doodad ones) won't work, so i decided to try it with triggers. they dont help me much further though, so i was thinking that maybe somebody hero knows the way to trigger it right.

Use the Monsoon effect.

Basic steps:

Object Editor ---> Buffs/Effects
Find the Human folder and look under effects.
Find Blizzard(Effect)
Change "Art - Effect" to Monsoon<Target>

And you're done! :>

What you mean? It should be in object editor next to abilities.

Erm.. if u want it to be "area chooseable"
U can use Blizzard and change the main special effect for it and replace it with doodads/cinimatic/lightning

Yes, i picked "doodads/cinematic/lightning" as effect before but that didn't work. i'l try using the monsoon effect now.
