Ok I read the help from this thread, but I have a question. How do I open a map with WinMPQ, better yet, what is WinMPQ. After I open it in WinMPQ, as cola said, i'll remove those 2 files. |

he is BlackDick not just Black , and he means that you shouldn't give it an already protected map in the most basic way of answering |

Ok I understand that, now when I click on the heavylock.exe file, it says: Run-time error '53': File not found: SFmpq.dll Yet I see file SFmpq.dll directly in the .zip folder. What should i do? |

Typically, he responds to questions about HeavyLock in the thread that you probably found it in. Looking through that thread, you might also find that someone's had a similar problem. |

Don't use HeavyLocker man! Well... for sure not if you want to pack you map into a w3n. Otherwise I think it's ok ;) BTW I use Power Protector (or sth like that) from W3M Map Utilities. Martinez |

Don't use Protection that crashes WE, What happens if someone is working hard on their map, and they try to open yours just to see how something is done? BAM! WE closes, and unless they remembered to save, their map is screwed. Use Preview only protection. 1) Save your map 2) Make a backup 3) Open the backup in WinMPQ 4) Find the files "war3map.wct" and "war3map.wtg" 5) Delete those 2 files |

Ok I made the backup, slightly changed the name so I can recognize which one had the corrupted files, but.....uhhh...ummmm.....how do you open it in WinMPQ. Actually.......what is WinMPQ?????? Edit: Also, they can only look at it, not edit it right (unless they're smart enough and know how to repair those files of course). You see the map i'm making is an edit of a previous map, made specifically for my clan. I don't mind if other people want to have the idea of editing a map for their clan, but I don't want them directly editing my edit and just putting their name on it. |

why do you listen to them, if you want to use heavylocker go for it, and you have to extract the thing first, heavylock won't know it is in zip at that time, anyways ~1MB is not that bad in this age |
