While browsing the download section i noticed my map, Trench Warfare posted. I never posted it, and as it showed 7h3_r4v3n as the map creator. I MADE THAT MAP. It wasn't my best map, but it is the fact this person is stealing credit. Is there a way i can take the map off of the download section? (I spoke with the 7h3_r4v3n i know, but he says hes never heard of this site, coincidence, i think not)

As far as I know and how regretably it may sound. I'm afraid there isn't much you can do about it. Since there isn't any real proof that it is of you (nor him except the made credits in it)
I don't know how that guy could have gotten your map, but always put in some credits of yourself in it and/or lock the map. It should be somewhat effective.

Sorry to hear it

If he did put the credits on it, it would be best to lock the map right after it. On that way the 'thief' can't change it, unless he knows how to open a lock. And I don't even got the slightest clue how to do that :P

if it is your map, i hope youve got all the versions, as in first draft, the map without triggers, al the different stages of makeing the map, thatll be proof of ownership

Usually 'I' don't keep such things Gitlich perhaps he does though but do people usually keep such things? I certainly don't.

i thought it was common practice to keep such things, incase i need to go back. ive stil got all 48 versions of that damn orc city. but ive got a 200gig harddrive, so i dont have to worry about space, unlike some

200?! Please Gitlich, don't make so jealous ;) :D
Uhhum... it is fine for practice and stuff but usually I don't keep such things, not just because of space but... well, yeah, I usually don't lock anything. Nor publish anything :P

As far as I know, I only kept a "first draft" (kinda) map somewhere, and that is of my campaign since I restarted more times then I can count.

I don't keep all the versions of my map either, I just update them.

And try talking to Darky even if it is a pro map stealer person, better try finding a thread you started about that map or something.
