First of all.. Maps are protected becouse someone wanted them to be protected. Why do you want to see them? Trying to steal someones work? People have worked hard and then someone like you come and steal their work and show it to everybody.

Hello. I'm back, and here to help. Ok, I am a mapper also, kinda new. So this unprotecting thing would be good to learn. Or if people used the protecting technique that allows for people to look at the map to see how it was done(I think its in the tut section). But don't flame him, knowledge is ok but stealing is not. Do you really think he would be such the noob he wanted to steal someones work he would post it here? And do you really think that a noob would try the effort to hex edit a map to get it to work? Now for the help.

If you get WinMPQ and open up the map there should be several files. Hope that they dont look like so: Unkown890xc234 . If they do its still ok. Now if they dont have the Unknown890xc234 then look for the files with the extension .j, extract and open with notepad. It should have the triggers in the form of JASS. I dont know how to put the triggers in the map but that would make recreating the triggers much easier. Now if it has Unknown890xc234 then open up every file and scroll down until you see something that looks like a trigger file. Then extract and open with notepad. Thats how you get triggers out, maybe you can think of how to get them in the map. I just hope I haven't helped a map stealer, I will have made a terrible mistake.

EDIT: http://www.wc3campaigns.com/showthread.php?t=52886 This is the thing I was talking about.

In my opinion. protecting is naughty. so is stealing credit, but honestly, i dont really care who made a map as long as its good, but thats just me and people look at me funny. hmph even Blizzard thinks that you should open other peoples maps to learn. if you dont trust your fellow American move to Russia!
