Ok I just downloaded the winMPQ zip file. When I open it I read the installation.txt file and it said: 1: Install "Vbr4" 2: Install "RunPack3" 3: Open "WinMPQ" In the zip file I saw no Vbr4 file or any RunPack3 file. Where do I find/get/download these files? |

Those are visual basic runtime files. They aren't included because, well, in theory most people already have them. Search the web for the exact filename of the files you need and you'll get them easily enough. I don't have anylinks off hand to give you, maybe someone else does. Quote:

Ok this is odd. I have 2 computers you see, and when I dl WinMPQ on my second computer, it's in a folder with a zip on it. When I open it it has 3 folders, one is Vbr4, and the other is is RunPack3, and of course there is WinMPQ. On my other computer, it was opened in a winzip file and instead of those folders, there was just files from those folders mixed up all over the place. And it says to install the folders, but does it mean to extract them somewhere, I don't see any install button for them. Btw, I am Zarithas. |

Probably one of your computers has it setting set to hide .dll files. You don't need to install them, you just need to put the files where winMPQ expects them to be. I'm not sure if the files are supposed to be in the winMPQ folder or in the windows\system32\ folder because i haven't used winMPQ in ages. |
