Hey, I have been looking at the cinematic for Curse of Faenor, and I think I have figured out how to make custom fade filters. You import the file you want and change its path to the correct disposition. However, I have one problem: I dont know the proper dimensions of the filter, so I cant make my own filter! I've got Photoshop Elements, but unfortunately that program wont open up .blp files so I could view the dimensions of their filter, I can however, save in .tga. Does anybody know the proper dimensions of a filter in pixels? Any help is appreciated, even if its just a link, -Drag |

You need to get Image Extractor II from the www.wc3sear.ch download section. It allows you to convert tga --> blp, and vice versa. The dimensions of a fade filter that I know are supported are either: - 512x512 (Usually works the best) - 1024x512 But I think any multiple of 8 would work. |

Ha ha, just kidding. I got the tools you mentioned. I imported the file 512 x 512 pixels in .blp format, and it wont display now. I've selected the custom filter from the filters list, and it doesn't even display it. I've got to be doing something wrong. Its imported, I haven't changed the paths because in The Curse of Faenor, they didn't change the paths either, so that cant be it. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong here? |

Did you save it in 32bit *something. color maybe?*. I know when you save a .tga file with photoshop it asks for 8/24/32bit somethign and for skins you need 32bit so ,maybe that is your problem?? EDIT: your path should be "ReplaceableTextures\Cameramasks\file.blp" change file.blp to the filename of your .blp. So mask.blp imported should be: ReplaceableTextures\Cameramasks\mask.blp |
