trajectory projectile abilities

how do i make trajectory projectile abilities? like a stunbolt that travels in a line but you can dodge it sorta like how the arrowshoot ability works in the UMS archery tactics

i know how do trajectory for normal attacks (by setting the attack type from normal to either artillery/line or missle/line)
but i also want to know how to do it for abilities because some of my heroes have to pick up a item to give them a range attack(the trajectory projectile ability)

what ability should i base it on and how should i do it?

This depends on how you want the projectiles to work: Should they only hit the targetted spot, or anything standing between the attacker and the targetted spot? If it's the second, I recommend basing it off carrion swarm with a low (say, 20-50) Data - Area of Effect and Data- Final Area. Also set the 'Damage' and 'Max damage' to the same value, and it should hit only one target. This will make it deal its damage to the first target struck, but the missile will continue travelling while being completely harmless...

If you want the missile to hit whatever is at the target point when it strikes, I recommend trying cluster missiles out - It should be useable for this, even though I haven't tried it.
