this is my first serious go at terraining ( apart from my hellboymap wich is now in the fridge ) That Thunderbluff thing really inspired me, so I would like to hear comments and crits pls. once I figure out how to use custom tilesets it'll look more like the real thing I hope |

I would switch cliff tiles, the green just doesn't go ( I've always seen tauren/orc bases as brown and earthy), in the last pic you have a floating rock doodad, needs a bit more tile variation (dirt grass/rock) and some more environmental doodads, I see you have the outland plants and normal flowers - mixing them in one area just seems wrong to me, I dunno. Needs a bit more raising/lowering terrain (perhaps something in the background to make it interesting), It IS a good start especially for first time attempt (and FYI use WEU world editor for all the tile modification you are looking for). :8 |

Well, don't use that kind of clifs, use the barrens cliffs, or my advice, don't use cliffs at all, use the raise/lower/platue/smooth tools and the 'rock' tile for better lookin' cliffs. What you also need is fog, fog, fog, and fog, the good ol' foggy. And the doodads.. it's in lack of that, try adding some barbarian looking prop doodads, and some rough enviromental doodads, also variate the tiles much more, let's see how this comes out! Vagabond- By the way.. What's FYI? For Your Intelligence? :> |

thanks you two for the advice I'll keep it in mind. I do have one question tho'. that raising and lowering of doodads with ctrl pageup/down doesn't work on mac apparantly would you know what it might be on mac? |

I'm not one to preach on terraining, but I think if you made it a bit larger and put some more shrubs, rocks, and spirit lodges in; along with the other's suggestions, you could make it look alot nicer. Oh, and that last picture rocks! |

You need to make those floating doodads go DOWN. Crtl+PgDown while selecting them will make them sink. And what people said, use fog. Lighting needs work, but easily fixed by fog. |

??? I'm a mac user and ctrl+pg up/down works for me. Try closing WE down and restarting it immediatly afterwards. It's a good start, just do what everyone's been saying and don't give up. ^_^ |

its a good concept so far, and the doodads youved added look good, but they dont look good with that cliff type, why did you use that and not barrens, i cant imagain the taurns being at home in anyhting but barrens. you could try something different and go for an autumn forest settgin, it may look suitabley orange enough for the taurens. but id sugest barrens, more rocks, and so on, like the rock pillars, maby some water (river/waterfall) as it adds realism to the village |

you right about the tileset and I've already changed it. I will have an update soon. but I can't get rid of floaters for some reason. |
