Why isn't anyone making new explosions for warcraft 3 along with many new projectiles??? Why are people only making units/buildings/etc.. Anyone here know why? I would really appreciate if someone would start making some kool ones because warcraft 3 special effects are getting old! I posted this mainly because someone made those kool new SC models and they don't have new projectiles or explosions! |

explosions are easy to do. They're just some particle emiters and such. Thing is that people normally (or at least i) make them built into the building animation. |

i would realy like to make special effects but they are very hard and im not sure how to exactly do it (i know particles and glows and crap) too hard for me -_- |

Explosions are easy stuff. Here you go. I smacked together this one in a minute. Just put both files into war3mapImported\ and it should work. |

It should be somewhere in my stash though on the ftp, anyways, missiles easy, jsut the problem is...well inspiration, lack of usage, idea's. If I do missiles, they usually are done according to the idea that unit X uses that post ideas/screenshots and depending if its intersting, we might do some of them |

We don't really need a missile projectile as much as original ultimate projectiles. Right now the best projectile is probably the Orb of Annihilation which is getting old and its purple :\ . We need a really good ultimate for a boss unit or something. We could use such a thing in tds and rpgs, etc... I hope someone steps up to the plate and accepts this challenge it would really benafit the community. Even if someone could skin a lot of the projectiles and then change the path ways in the projectiles for new ones it could really benafit the community, trust me. It would benafit my last map for one :p. My last map is called: Global Peril: The Clash of Domination. I'm heavily considering to get this one hosted on wc3campaigns. BTW: thx a lot for that explosion. That alone made the game like 5% funner to play eh. I'm not kidding either. |

As i said before, give us inspirations and we might churn them out Missile Blizzard aint good, it is virtually the same as the lich's one Rain of fire, hmm I put it in the beta pack i recalled.... Inferno looks ugly so I wouldnt do that |

Some Fun Features of the Project: You can save and load your empire. You won't be able to save and load it exactly but good enough to make this game worth playing over and over and over again. You can name your empire at any point in the game. You can conquer neutral empires, tribes, etc.. On the map at any point in the game. Once a tribe, empire, etc... is weakended to a certain point they will probably join your empire. Disclaimer Counters: 1A. Some people might think that as you get your empire stronger all neutral empires, tribes, etc.. would become very easy to conquer. I plan on making 3 different terrained worlds each with more vast and difficult to conquer empires, tribes, etc.. 1B. Some people might think that each world would eventually get easy. Well maybe if you got an empire over have the size of the map or whatever. However the neutral empires you go against grow as you grow. They may not seem to grow as fast but thats because it's random on how hard they are each game. They can have advanced 2 times as much as you in the next game you played or been in a huge battle which costs them half their units! There will be thousands among thousands of various empires, tribes, etc.. you can go against. Each empire will have random progress that randomly be harder or easier. 2. Sounds like a 1 player game? Wrong, save and load is like some maps on bnet. This save and load process uses Upper and Lower case letters, numbers, and shift keys. This will probably be a 4-5 player game max. Map sizes: 192x192 - 256x256 most likely, maybe bigger. Question: Is this possible? Answer: You have only seen the core plans. Question: How long would this enormous project take? Answer: It will be done when it's done and I start recruiting map makers today. Question: Will there be any sort of website for this map? Answer: Yes I plan on finishing it today. Question: Ok so no current release date but can you tell me if this is going to be done before sc2... Answer: Well since SC2 apprently hasn't even been started yet probably way before.
