Orc Reaper -wip-

Heres a start on my next skin based on the horned reaper model by bullfrog in the downloads section. Im hoping some minor model edits will be done on the model, like teeth and a back to his skinny head. Otherwise its still very much a wip with just a color research over the original texture however the face is almost done. Im thinking the jewl on his chest may be a skull but I dont know if it will fit. Its a pity the alpha channel didnt work because the beard could be better defined. Comments on the color scheme, armor style and generaly how to make this guy look really awesome would be appreciated. It needs a better name too I guess

Good! Sweet! Wonderful!
But make the marginals around the neck black, then it will look abit better, maybe.. I don't really not the one to critisize skins or models..
Great work anyway!

Nice!
But.. is it just me or isn't it abit blury? The textures I mean.. maybe you should sharpen them..

Yes... that model is horribly disproportionate... I'm sorry If I offend the author.

The skin looks very good... but I don't think I can comment till you put it on a good model.

Yeah I know, the model isnt the best but I thought it would make for something original. I really wanted comments on how to improve the skin, not model feedback.

Hmm... so far its pretty good. So ill just tell you minor things (i wrote it really detailed so dont feel as if im giving harsh criticism or anything).

The muscles in the arm could be shown a little more (like in the first screenie), in the second one they look a little more like clay than muscles. Im sure you could do something a little more creative with the gauntlets. The beard could use some highlights (to show light). It looks kinda looks just like a black blob. I kinda like the shoulder pads better on the first one except maybe not black or as over smudged.

Great skin and good luck finishing it. I look forward to seeing it finished.

Rep coming your way.

The skins pretty nice, but I think it could use some creases in the fabric. Pants especially.

In the second one, I find your colors a bit too flashy : the green is very green, gray is very gray, etc. It makes it look like an old Nintendo game character... ^_^ (Don't take it as an insult though, if it's your style i totally respect it)

Though if you want to change it then lower the saturation, and make some darker lines to separate the different part of the skin. Also you can divide the big colored areas into smaller parts (to make the color less strong).

(hope my english is clear enough)

He looks an awful lot like Horny from the Dungeon Keeper series... except he's been... orcified...

I like bright colors for my new skins and it does kinda match with the rest of the cartoony colors of the game I think. Ok heres an update, I still dont know how to optimise the jewl area. Added a team color kinda of thing on the shoulder pads and redid all the flesh areas apart from the face. A bit of shading on the pants are needed, new gauntlet chainmail things or something better and maybe the straps like on the original version, what do you think?
