mounatin tile help needed

ive got a mounatin path, based in the lordearon fall and village fall tile sets, but what ever i try to do to the mounatins looks crap, i need advice on what tiles to use, and how to use them to make this rock seem less bland. an example of the terrain is attched, as well as all the tiles im useing

maybe using some diffrent rockey terrains?

I think they look good the way they are actually, if they are high mountains you could try adding snow on the top... by the way, what if you could scale down tiles? That would be very good for mountain ranges etc.
Anyone know something about this?

damn, i wish id though about snow beofre i chose the tiles, i think i can edit tiles with WEU enhancer

perhaps i co9uld have a go at CnPing to make snowy rock

paint?! hwo could i live without the lasoo tool, besides, i dont have winmpq on here either, and im not alowed to install it. my father seems to think internet programs cause problems. what he fails to realise is that pissing me off causes bigger problems, as in me stciking the keybord where the sun dosnt shine

Quick question: what did you use to get all those tilesets into one map? (The modify tileset only lets me add one??)

The wonders of WEU enhancer. DL it, and select the create map opntion. this alows you to choose lots of tiles, inludeing mix and matching cliff tiles, and lots of other various very useful options. the clcik crate map, and it puts it in a folder somehwere to be opened with WEU. possably the most useful terrain tool there is

You can use WEU to enhance any map new or old.

Back on subject...

Rocks and mountains are never that smooth. Try addind rock doodads and smoothing less. Use a few tile variations too, as mountains arn't just big rocks.

thats my problem, i havnt added doodads yet, but all the tile variation i tired looked crap
