Hey everyone, it's been a while since i've skinned something, and I decided to try again, this is going to be a 100% freehand skin when it's finished and this is what I have so far. C&C much needed and please tell me how it is and make suggestions :) Thanks in advance ~DnStalker - Note the face looks horrible and I'm working on that |

The arms and face are really blotchy,(i know your working on face) but you need to fix the arms, smooth out the colors with smudge and blend them together, the bracers are also blotchy, smooth them out as well. the Chest looks good but its not very detailed, and you can't really tell what it is. The biggest thing i see is you need the blend the colors together more. |

Thats horrible, and you used the brick filter on his chest, freehand my ass. |

What the hell is a brick filter? I made the armour myself freehand, I can even show you when I get home if you like. Thanks for the comments and I'm working on it. |

Goon...? it has no filter on it... I never seen anything look like that on photoshop |

woah... the real goon emerges.... anyway back to skin: its looking good, but it is very blurry. blend the colors better, sharpen the edges between armor and skin, and give some more detail to chest armor. |

Wow, you guys could improve your commenting/crit skills. This is a website with many good skinning tutorials: http://www.planetquake.com/skindom/tutorials/ Here are a few specific tutorials from this site i would recommend Shading: http://www.planetquake.com/skindom/f...ng/index.shtml Clothing: http://www.planetquake.com/skindom/f...th/index.shtml Flesh: http://www.planetquake.com/skindom/f...sh/index.shtml I hope some of this information is helpful to you and if you have any questions feel free to ask after making a reasonable effort to search the forum and google incase someone has already answered your question" The original poster is seriously posting this skin: this user very much needs our help to understand how a skin is made and some guidance on how to get started. I would expect a mature and helpful reply to this persons post. |

Ya GoonGoon16 none of that bull. Thx Jester at least someone remembers that he posted it for comments and crits not a discussion on filters. Those linkz are dead. Well Its all blurry. That chest armor is very nice but its hella blurry. Check out the techniques thread if u get a chance. Jester if u can Even tho u hate where the thread is do one or two techniques for it. Anyone whos a very capible skinner should be doing 1 or 2. |

Wow thanks for the help guys, I looked over the tutorials at skindom and in the skinning technique guide and they've been helpful. I decided to use photoshop (which i already had on my computer for some reason) and started my skin again, and so far i've done the armour and the hair and eyebrows. CC much appreciated :) |
