for one whenever i save an image from warcraft image extracor 11 and tweak it a bit with paintshop pro 8 when i try to change it back from a .tga to .blp it says that the file has an unsupported comression rate and i have tried everything to my knowledge to fix - super high comression - super low compression - etc. for my second problem i have no f'n clue how to change the food symbol to a picture i have stored in my folders etc. and also how do i have per say 1 hydralisk regular and another using a diff skin in the same game? ok almost done how do i change some skills so that there is a so to speak "ice immolation" and also how do i change the bullets of a marine or the arrows of an archer to for example a shaft of lightning? finally i was wondering if anybody knew how to change it so i CAN MAKE GAMES ON B-NET! no can ever join them except my local lan servers and i also cant do the assemble ur own team thingy. Well thanks for all your help in advance hoping that know 1 pays attention to that pink reputation dot under my avatar because i didnt know that if you double post you automatically get hated by just about every1 i mean im not a bad guy....;) |

The making games is due to a router, hub, or firewall port redirection error. You need to find your local IP Address, make sure its static (unchanging) and then add Port Redirects to your PC on the ports listed at the www.blizzard.com site under Support. To change the attack graphic, use the Object Editor. To change the skin, import the skin using the Import Manager, then create a new unit using the Object Editor that has the new skin (unless I'm wrong, I haven't worked with custom skins at all, only read a bit about it.) |

For the love of gods try formatting your post so it doesn't give us a headache to read. Bullet points bullet points bullet points. Skins- Make sure you save your .tga file as a 24-bit file. If that doesn't work try 32-bit. But under no circumstances sae it without it's alpha channel (photoshop 7 had an issue with that). The .blp compression rate has nothing to do with it. To have a single model use two skins you're going to have to do some .mdl editing. Check the skinning/modelling forum for the tools you require to do that. There's a tutorial specifically for using two skins with 1 model. Ice immolation- You could probably do this using a reversed Unholy Aura that affects only enemies. Unholy Aura is the only ability that affects both movement speed and life. However it won't work on units that don't regenerate health. But seriously, if you are absoltuely clueless about all of these issues, start smaller. |
