Has anyone had any luck on importing Weather slk?

i remember at my site a long time ago Xaran posted some work he had been doing on weather effects. He had only tested it in his war3 folder. I then tried to import these into maps *i know how to import* with no luck. Does anyone have any ideas on how i could get this to show up in a map or a campaign? I'm thinking use the war3patch and just hijack it for the map, then replace it afterwards, or maybe a campaign. I haven't tried that yet. Please respond!
