Aardvark-
Yeah, im using 6.0 and i can. its on the bottom right i guess, its in a little box with a few different labels. theres

|Layers|Channels|Paths|History|Actions|

Click on channels, then click Alpha 1. Using a black paintbrush you can alpha on the image (white to dealpha). If you want to alpha a specific part, click on RGB (so you can actually see the image), then use lasso to go around what you want to alpha. Go back to alpha 1 and use the black paintbrush inside the lasso and its alphaed.

Hope i didnt confuse you. :D

I dont know anything about team color except how to shape it and how to get rid of it (dealpha) but not alpha it out. I dont think there is a way with photoshop 6.0. Sorry.

Do you know if there is a way to burn, i think there is only dodge but id figured id ask. i just darken colors to replace burning.

go to the channel swatch and go down and select alpha and paint using the paint tool. if there is no alpha channel there create 1 by clicking the "Create alpha channel".

if this doesnt work sorry.

NOTE:

you also my find that some parts of the skin you cannot alpha by using a paint program! this is because of the model.
